Can the name Eva be an Irish name. I see it on Irish websites but next to the name it doesn't say Irish it say Latin or hebrew... So is it Irish or not.|||It is certainly NOT Irish.
'Eva is a female given name, the Latinate counterpart of English Eve, derived from a Hebrew name meaning "life" or "living one." It can also mean full of Life or mother of life. It is the standard biblical form of Eve in many European languages.' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eva_(name)|||Aoife(ee-fa) is the irish for Eve/Eva as far as I'm aware
