Hi, Just to let all you Americans interested in naming their kids Irish names, you often get the spellings and/or pronunciations wrong, and it is a real pity. Elaine; 'Fionn' is not pronounced 'Finn', it is pronounced 'Fyunn'. Maeve is not spelt like that in Irish, because we have NO letter 'v' in our alphabet. It is spelt 'Meadhbh'. 'Aisling' is pronounced 'AshLING', not 'Ashlynn'. 'Niamh' is 'Nee-iv', not simply 'Neev'. Thank you!!!!|||Couldn't agree more!
